John has been my acupuncturist since March 2003. My husband and I are recreational skydivers, which can take a toll on the back, shoulders, neck, hips, knees and ankles. John and Barbara have treated our minor aches and pains from our extreme hobby, as well as more serious injuries to my husband’s neck and shoulders, which were sustained in a high speed rollover automobile accident. As brilliant as John and Barbara are as healing artists using cranial sacral therapy and acupuncture, to speak of them only as professionals in these modalities would not provide a complete picture.

John and Barbara have long been students of herbal therapies and nutritional supplements, attending professional education courses every year. Mission Statement

John and I believe in the innate capacity and intelligence within each individual to grow, respond, adapt and heal.  Health is that state of continuous well-being wherein the body, mind and spirit work so smoothly that one is aware of a vibrancy or vital energy permeating all levels of one's being.  When there is an imbalance or restriction in this smooth functioning then one experiences discomfort, pain, suffering or disease.  The general tendency for most persons is to look for something to "fix" or mask the symptoms when they experience pain, suffering or disease.  But we are not machines to be "fixed" -- we are living organisms responding and adapting constantly to the internal and external forces at work in our lives and in our environment. 

We base our treatment philosophy on assisting the individual's body, mind and spirit to better respond and adapt to these forces in order to optimize the healing process.  For example if blockages and restrictions exist on the physical, energetic and/or mental emotional levels we employ acupuncture, craniosacral therapy and visceral work to remove the blockages and restrictions.  If there are systemic, organ level or cellular level dysfunctions we use herbal and nutritional medicine along with craniosacral acupuncture to restore balance and energize the various systems.  All these treatments work in harmony with each other to give to the patient whatever is needed to restore the original state of optimal health.
